-“Part viii”- DTLA
As I mentioned in a previous L.A. post, Los Angeles is a very large “Urban Sprawl” covering a large and diverse area. Many cities (including the Vally with continual thoughts of secession) make up the greater L.A. area. There is however an L.A. “proper” or Downtown L.A. and that is where i shot this image. I chose it for this weeks “trip” because I thought it offered a microcosm of the downtown area. Here, like most downtown areas you will find skyscrapers, cultural offerings, shopping meccas and inner city. The building here, i thought represented some of the really cool older architecture you will find here, and the people in the shot seem both diverse (as is L.A.) and almost frozen in time.
Many thanks always Laura… seeing the contributions to this project is always a Sunday highlight for me.
